Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his role in the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time at college Christopher Meloni was fascinated by the world of acting. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in the television and film industry, but it was his smaller-screen roles which gained him fame as well as a large audience. The ability of his characters to appear on both sides of law has captured the attention of the public. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his first television series project but later went on to play the role that of a NYPD detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was listed on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
